Hailing from Sheffield, Mark Wilson was introduced to art at an early age, having grown up in a house filled with fine art prints and original paintings, he attended his first ever art exhibition at the tender age of 5, an event that was to influence his life.
In his teens, Mark won many an Art competition, including a competition in association with the Yorkshire Post and the RAF, with 5 of his paintings being chosen for an exhibition at the Finningley Air Show.

In the late 70’s Mark went on to study Art at Hull College of Art where he obtained a degree in Fine Art Painting. Mark lived in Hull for 9 years working alongside a group of artists who would often take part in exchange shows with other artists from around the world, notably Japan, Holland and the USA.
Mark moved back to his hometown of Sheffield when he met his wife 10 years ago, since then he’s exhibited his artwork at many Northern Art Exhibitions, including the Great Sheffield Art Show.
Power Flowers, Mark’s debut collection with Washington Green Fine Art Publishers, brings a contemporary slant to a timeless theme. Floral blooms burst off the canvas, evoking feelilngs of springtime buzz and summertime frivolity.
